On my first ever parade that I marched quads for, my drumstick hit something and slipped between the harness and my drums. It was really embarrassing because it was during a solo I had

The first parade I arched on quads, I though I was gonna die. I switched from flute to quads and that parade was only like the 3rd time I had ever carried them. And my carrier gave me god awful bruises until they flipped my stomach plate on my carrier like a onth later.

Right?? The first month marching the quads is the hardest! You have to build up muscles and you get harness sweatmarks. Hahah ugh. But flute to quads? props!

I've never gotten tanlines, but sweat lines yes. And it's especially embarrassed when you're a female. I had a really bad harness my freshman year and it left black marks all over too.

My carrier lefr black stuff all over my hands. And when I marched flute I hardly ever sweated, but when I switched, there was always sweat all over me all the time. And being the one of the only girls in battery, there were always guys that were way sweatier than me haha.

Hahah yeah I can see that. Even though the guys were always sweatier, it was still embarrassing when I would talk to my female friends afterwards.

My band is going to a big parade this next year and we aren't marching marimbas or anything, so naturally, everyone in out back ensemble and front ensemble is going to be wearing drums. I am from front ensemble and I am marching quads. Our first all day practice was yesterday and only five hours of it were dedicated to the parade, and my back still feels like it got hit by a tractor.
