I use 2.5 or 3 for my clarinet, I never pick one and stick with it. My band director purchased a fibercell reed for the bass clarinet, I think it's a 2.5. Now that I'm stuck on tuba (except for pep band when we have another tuba), I'm really having a hard time remembering which one I use.

I use Rico. I usually just get the cheapest kind, since I never buy them. I usually have one of my parents or grandparents with me to pay for them.

I ALWAYS use 3.5 Vandoren reeds. I bought a 25-pack of Rico reeds once, and my section leader chewed me out for so long that I just threw them away and bought Vandorens.

I use 3.5 Vandoren reeds for clarinet. All my school has are Rico - i guess because they are cheeper, but I don't like them as much as Vandoren.

I have never really tried any other brand of reeds, but I don't have any problems with rico other than it seems like every pack has one reed that doesn't work right, almost like it is a 1.5 or 2 or something.

Yeah, I tend to use Vandorens as well, though the Mitchell-Laurie (spelling?) reeds seem to work well for other members of my section.

I bought a 10 pack or something close to that of Mitchel something reeds, and to me, they almost seem...thicker than Rico's or something. I don't really know how to describe it. Almost like they stayed fresh longer than Rico.

I use a Rico Royal 3 in Marching Season, and a Vandoren 3 for Concert season for a little bit better quality for my precious baby, my alto sax:)

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever played a Clarinet and a Tenor Sax? Since I use 3.5 reeds on Clarinet, should I also use that strength on Tenor Sax? I plan on getting one and learning it to play in my school's jazz band.
