Here's a helpful tip for increasing your range as a brass player: Fire drills. I play euphonium and my range used to be literally two octaves, now I'm up to five. Just take your mouthpiece and buzz from the lowest tone you have to the highest. Do this by keeping the air going and only adjusting your lips. Really helps.

As a trombonist, it helps me to play in 6th position then gliss to first position. For example, playing a high F in 6th then glissing to the high B flat.

As a horn player, flow studies and slurs are very helpful on improving range.
