Set up a metronome at 120+ and play straight up triplets at a 12in stick height. Don't stop playing unless you speed up the tempo. Your chops will start to feel sore, but push through it!

Don't go straight to triplets or even so much as try to bounce a stick until you have done eights, honestly. Set the met at 120 BPM and do eights for half an hour on each hand, doing the best strokes that you humanly can, before you try anything else. Extra points for marking time. DO IT WITH A MET, or you might as well not do it at all.
