I personally don't play Trumpet, but at my school, we switch seats every song in concert season, and I always tell whoever I sit in front of to play as loud as they can(I like loud trumpets, idk why), is that a good thing?

That's not a bad thing at all! The trumpets at my school currently play really quiet, save 3 of them. I love loud trumpets.

Not all trumpets have giant egos. I'd like to think that there are some members in every section that have giant egos. Trumpets just get a bad rap because a lot of music played in concert band settings calls for beast trumpets.
